Addition to Addiction: Blush feat. Jordana Cosmetics

Hi there. So today I want to share my blush from Jordana Cosmetics. I got these in the Philippines. Surprisingly Jordana Cosmetics are being sold in the Philippines in Sta. Lucia Mall and the particular "store" that sells them is called the Dollar Store. So if you are in the Philippines and you want to buy Jordana Cosmetics, go to Sta. Lucia Mall (I guess you got the point already). Just be careful on buying and be sure to double check the product before you pay for it because some of them may have some swatches and sometimes they are already open.

So, let's just get started shall we? Enough with the ramble.

  • General Overview:
    • Not powdery
    • Easy to blend
    • Really pigmented
    • Not chalky
    • Contains 2.2g (I think its content is not enough compared to typical blush, if you know what I mean)
    • Longevity wise, I don't think it lasts that long, but I really don't mind because the color pay off is just good.
  • Tawny Beige
    • Is a pinkish mauve shade with some fine shimmer that goes unnoticeable when applied. It applies smoothly and a little goes a long way.
    • It will look nice if your skin tone is from light to medium.
Swatch on natural day light

  • Terra Cotta
    • As the name implies, it's a terra cotta shade and it's matte.
    • This one may be used as a contour if your skin tone is light.
A swatch in natural daylight. I really had a hard time swatching this one. IDK why... :|

Overall, these blushers are good and each costs 99php in the Philippines. Maybe on the next post, I will show a picture where I have them on my cheeks. :)

That will be all for now. Thank you for reading. Till next time :)

Addition to Addiction: Blush feat. Nichido True Colors Collection Blush

Kamusta kayong lahat!

Good color pay-off" kahit powdery yung texture nya.

I have to admit, nag-enjoy ako. Haha!

Hanggang dito na lang  tong post na to. Sa susunod na lang ulit! Salamat sa pagbabasa. :)

What you'll need: 'No Makeup' Makeup Look

I'm a fan of the 'No Makeup' makeup look and I prefer to wear this everyday. It's very light, unnoticeable yet you will still look polished and made up. Since I'm a fan of this look very much, I'm going to share to you the things that I use to achieve that look. By the way, this is not a tutorial. This is just merely sharing the things that I use and I really hope you'll find this helpful.

Let's begin.

BB creams (Skin Food, Etude House and Tony Moly)

  • Base
    • I use BB cream for my face. It has the benefits of a moisturizer, but some BB cream provides the coverage of a light foundation. And sometimes, they also have an SPF that ranges from 30-45 depending on what the BB cream is. I'm not telling you guys that you should use BB cream because there are other choices like light coverage foundation if you feel like you need that extra coverage but you don't want it to look heavy; And there's regular or tinted moisturizer if you want to go all natural and if you feel like your skin is in total good condition. I just prefer BB creams simply because it moisturizes, it provide a faint coverage and it has SPF.
Moisturizers (Physician's Formula tinted moisturizer and Celeteque)

In2it Eyebrow Powder

  • Brows
    •  For my brows, I use brow powder simply because I have thick brows and all I need to do is to define them. But if you have thin brows, you might want to use pencil for a precise definition. And for me, it looks more natural if I use powder on my brows.
Avon Glimmersticks Eyeliner in Cosmic Brown

  • Eyes
    • After I define my brows, I define my eyes using a brown eyeliner by tight lining. Tight lining basically is lining the lash line and inner rims of the eyes. I choose brown because black can be a bit too harsh and I want a subtle definition too.
Fanny Serrano Eyelash curler
  •  Eyes
    • And then I will use an eyelash curler to open up my eyes.
Maybelline Full 'N Soft mascara
  •  Eyes
    • After curling my lashes, I will be defining them using a mascara. Maybelline's Full 'N Soft mascara is perfect to be used in this look because you won't get that brittle effect that most mascara may give you. This particular mascara gives a natural and full look. Hence the name, Full 'N Soft.
Lip and Cheek tints. (Tony Moly, Nature Republic and Etude House)
  •  Cheeks
    • For the cheeks, I use tints because it looks more natural and it looks like your blush came from with in, but sometimes I also use powder blushes I just pick a shade that leans on the peach side.
Sleek and Nichido powder blush
Lip balms (Etude House and Tony Moly)
  •  Lips
    • Lastly, I just put on tinted lip balms or sometimes the regular lip balms to moisturize my lips. But I have to say, I wear tinted lip balms more often than regular ones because I want that slight hint of color onto my lips.
So, that's all that I need to have to achieve the popular 'No Makeup' Makeup Look that has been so popular now a days.  If you are wondering why I didn't include any concealer it's because I don't want to conceal my uber dark circles. I just want to enhance my skin and let my skin peek through. (naks!)

Well, that will be all and I hope you had fun reading this post and I also hope you found it helpful.

Thanks for reading. Bye!

Addition to Addiction: Blush feat. Sleek

Hi there! This blog post is about some of my not-so-recent-purchases of blush and they are from a UK brand makeup called Sleek. Again, I bought them at Makeup Hub by Naturele Collezione. Maybe the next blog post will be about Makeup Hub by NC. Coz that virtual/internet/online shop is really awesome plus the fact that the owner is really nice.

Anyway, back to Earth and to my blog post, as I was saying this is going to be about the added blush/blushers to my collection and let's start.

Sleek Sunrise

  • Sunrise is a deep wine colored blush with some gold flexes
  • It has iridescence to it making it one of those blushes that gives the illusion of wearing a bronzer, highlighter, and blush.
  • Perfect for summer and olive skin toned people.
A swatch with flash
  • Here is the swatch and I did use flash photography so that the gold flex will be visible.
Sleek Coral
  •  Coral is a dark toned coral blush which has no flex of shimmer making it matte.
  • Gorgeous natural looking blush that works perfectly on medium skin toned people.
  • It's perfect for everyday use.
Without flash
  •  With this swatch, I did not use any flash because it's matte and I thought this will show up better with natural light.
Sleek Life's a Peach
  •  Life's a Peach is a light peach (of course) blush
  • Will look great on fair skinned people.
  • And this is one of the blushes that may give that healthy glow on your face.
A quick swatch
  •  The swatch looks washed out but that's exactly how it looks like.
I thought I had to share this. A quick comparison of Coral (R) and Life's a Peach(L).

Sleek Aruba
  •  Aruba is my first crazy orange blush and I love it!
  • If there's a hot pink, this baby is THE Hot Orange.
  • A light hand must be used in applying this blush because it's really pigmented.
  • I won't suggest this to be used on a daily basis, BUT if you have deeper skin tone, this may be THE blush for you. It's really gorgeous. I swear.
Totally washed out. :(
  •  The swatch is washed out. I'm sorry. But really, what you see in the pan is what you'll get if you swatch it.

In a general overview, Sleek blushes has:

    • Awesome pigmentation
    • Good amount of product: 8g for each pan.
    • Sleek packaging. No elaborate design whatsoever.
    • No unpleasant scent, at least to me.
    • Fair staying power. It didn't promised any '24hrs' longevity anyway.
So, I hope you found this post helpful and and if you did, I totally recommend you try them too. If you live in the Philippines, you can get your hands on these products thru Makeup Hub by Naturele Collezione , they are 400php each. Very affordable if you consider the amount and pigmentation of the product you'll be getting.

Thanks for reading! Bye! ;)

Addition to Addiction: Lipsticks

Hi y'all! I'm here to share to you guys the newest addition to my lipstick collection. These are UK brand lipsticks that I got/bought from Makeup Hub by Naturele Collezione.

Let's start with lipsticks from Sleek. And I got the shades Stilleto and Amped.

Stilleto
  •  Sleek True Colours Lipstick in Stilleto
      • This has a matte finish.
      • Blue based red.
      • A bit drying so lip balm prior applying is a must.
Amped
  • Sleek True Colours Lipstick in Amped
      • This has a matte finish
      • A bubblegum pink
      • A bit drying and flakes after hours of wearing so do use lip balm prior to wearing.
      • Pat to apply. Don't glide.
Next is Models Own. And the only lipstick that I own from the brand.

Plum
  • Models Own lipstick in Plum
      • Has bluish-indigoish flex that gives it a sheen finish
      • Glides on easily
      • A festive fun color.
      • I'm actually not a fan of this particular lipstick because I prefer creme to matte finish lipsticks but I thought owning one with flex wouldn't hurt anyway.
Moving on, the last three that I have are from Miners Cosmetics

Vixen
  •  Miners Matte Effect in Vixen
      • Although marketed as 'Matte' this has a creme finish
      • In my opinion, one of the prettiest if not THE PRETTIEST vampy shade of lipstick I've seen
      • Glides on easy.
      • Has a candy scent.
Icon
  •  Miners Lip Colour Lipstick in Icon
      • Deep wine, eggplant shade
      • Perfect for fall season
      • Glides on easily
      • Non drying.
  •  Miners Moisture Effect Lipstick in Moulin Rouge
      • Blue based red.
      • One of my favorite red lipstick
      • Non drying
      • Doesn't flake
      • Glides on easily.
Bottom line, of all the six new lipsticks I have, my favorite would be Moulin Rouge and my least favorite is Models Own. These lipsticks do transfer. If you are the type of person who minds reapplying their lipstick every 3 hours these aren't the lipstick for you. But if you don't, I bet you'll enjoy the richness of the colors specially Vixen and Icon.

So, there you have it. I hope you find this post helpful and please do check out Makeup Hub by Naturele Collezione in Facebook.

Thank you so much for reading! :)

Beginner's Makeup :)

Way back in high school, all I ever used were powder and lipgloss. I actually started using makeup in college and the first ones I used then were just face powder, a blush, lipgloss, eyelash curler and that was it. I never used mascara before coz I often rub my eyes.

So now, this blog post is all about beginner's makeup kit. Basically the first things you might consider buying first since you're just starting to explore the wonderful world of cosmetics.

So let's start with the tools you might want to buy first.

Eyelash curler, Kabuki brush, spoolie and angled brush

Fanny Serrano Eyelash Curler
  • Eyelash Curler
    • Used to open up your eyes. If you're worried it might pluck your lashes, don't be. Just be sure to replace the pad if needed. Curl your lashes from base to tip, this way you will achieve a natural looking curled lashes.
Marionnaud N38 brush
  •  Angled eyeliner brush and Spoolie
    • You may use this to groom your brows. Grooming brows is really important because as they say, your brows frame your face. You may use the angled eyeliner brush to apply brow powder on to your brows then comb to blend using the spoolie.
Charm Retractable Kabuki brush

  •  Kabuki brush
    • I included this particular brush as a part of beginner's makeup kit because first, it's retractable. you may bring this anywhere and it may fit in to your makeup bag perfectly. Second, this maybe used to apply both foundation and blush. It's very convenient to have one of this.
Now that we are done with the tools, let's go to the exciting part of this blog post. The makeup stuffs.

The FaceShop Freshian Volumizing Mascara
  •  Mascara
    • To help the eyelash curler to open up your eyes, use a mascara of your choice. This will make your eyes pop and appear doll like. If you have thin lashes like I do, a volumizing mascara might help to define them even more. If they're short, use a lengthening one. If you want to keep your lashes curled, use a waterproof mascara because it contains more wax. There's a lot of varieties of mascara, feel free to explore.
Avon Glimmersticks in G01 Blackest Black and G40 Cosmic Brown
  •  Eyeliner
    • After defining your lashes, help define your eyes using eyeliners. There are different eyeliner types. Gel, cream, liquid and pencil. You want to start with the basics so may I suggest you to start using a pencil first for practicing your application skills. Just be sure to pick a pencil liner that's creamy enough so that when applying it, you won't drag your lids.
(L) WetNWild 383B Knock On Wood. (R) Paint Box by Herbench/ in Sugar N Spice

  •  Eyeshadow
    • Add a littler color to your lids by using eyeshadows. You may use a duo or a trio as long as it's in neutral shades. WetNWild has a great trio that has indications to where the shadows to be put on. If you are a beginner with putting eyeshadow, this trio might help you to properly apply the colors. As for the duo, it's more simple. Put the lightest shade all over the lid and the darkest on the outer corner AND you're good to go!
WetNwild eyeliner/eyebrow pencil in Taupe
  •  Eyebrow pencil
    • As I've said, it is important to groom your brows. The rule of thumb in shading your brows is "If your hair is dark, use two shades lighter; if it's blonde or light, use two shades darker. Trust me, groomed eyebrows really makes a difference.
Fanny Serrano Two way cake foundation in Organza
  •  Foundation
    • Foundation evens out your skin tone. For beginners, I suggest you go for a powder foundation or two-way cake because you may be able to control what you are putting to your face. You don't want to look cakey after all. But if you want to use liquid, cream, mineral or even gel foundation it's up to you.
(L) Maybelline Mineral Power blush in True Peach. (R) Nichido True Colors Collection blush in Cool Rum

  • Blush
    • Adding color to your face will make you look healthy. But for beginners, you want to choose a blush shade somewhere between peach and pink. You want that glow but slightly unnoticeable. In wearing blush, you don't want people to notice that you are wearing one. You want you're blush to appear natural, as if it came from with in.
(L)Carmex, (M) Lipice, (R) Tony Moly
  •  Lip Balm
    • Moisturizing lips is important so having a lip balm is a must. You may choose a tinted one if you feel like you're not ready to use a lipstick. But you also want to know that applying lip balm first before applying lipstick will help with the application.
(L)Avon Ultra Moisture Rich lipstick in Juicy Pomegranate. (R)Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Love That Red
  •  Lipsticks
    • Choosing a lipstick for beginners maybe intimidating. Shades like peach, neutral pink and light pink will give you the appearance of "My Lips But Better". But I'm not saying you can't go bold with lipsticks. You may choose a red one if you want to be daring and you really want to explore. But you might want to pick a matte one so the color isn't as loud.
(L) Lancome Juicy Tube Smoothie. (R) Revlon Superlustrous lipgloss in Coral
  •  Lipgloss
    • Lastly, a gloss. If you find applying just lip balm to be too boring but you are hesitant to apply lipstick, you can always pick a gloss as an alternative. It provides shine and sheer color that will look pretty on your lips.
So, there you have it. Simple suggestions for beginners with makeup. I hope you find this post helpful. Thanks for reading. Bye!
