Wet N Wild Single Eyeshadows

Hi everyone! For this day's post, I will be sharing to you guys my thoughts on the Wet N Wild Single Eyeshadows that I ordered from drugstore.com. So, I got 5; 3 from their regular shades and 2 which are new ones. So let's get started!

To start off, these are priced for $1.99 each which I think is a fair price and if you are lucky, you may get them on 25%-75% off SALE depending on where you are going to buy them.

The first color that I will show to you is a new shade and it is Unplugged.

Unplugged is a shimmery white eyeshadow which I think is perfect for high lighting the inner corners and brow bone.

Next is another new shade which is also my least favorite out of the bunch and it is Sellout.

Although Sellout is a pretty fuchsia pink shade from the pan, the color you'll be getting when you swatch it is not the same. There is definitely color but not as vibrant as it is on the pan. Plus, it's REALLY shimmery.

Ok, now the next three that I will be showing to you guys are from their regular line. And the next one to show you guys is Lagoon.

Okay, Lagoon is a gorgeous ocean blue shade which has a satin finish. What you see on the pan is what you'll get when you swatch it. This is my first ocean blue shade and I am really glad I got this.

Next from their regular line is my favorite highlight for the brow bone and my favorite blending/transition color  and it is a creamy shade named Brulee.

The reason that I love, love this shade is the fact that it is matte at the same time the shade is really opaque. Sometimes, I prefer using matte shades to highlight my brow bone coz it looks more natural and this shade is perfect for that.

Last shade that I am going to show to you guys is my ultimate favorite shade out of all the eyeshadows that I have. And it is Nutty.

Nutty is a satiny taupe shade. It's just perfect for every day use because the shade is just neutral. I've been wanting to have this shade for a long time but Wet N Wild in the Philippines sells these single eyeshadows for P199.00, I mean c'mon! P200 for a single eyeshadow? So I am glad I waited and it's worth the wait.

What I like about these:
  • Pigmentation is awesome except of course with Sellout.
  • Very easy to blend.
  • Not chalky at all.
  • Awesome product for an awesome price.
  • I just love them!
What I don't like about these:
  • There is just a small range of color selection.
  • Fall outs although fall outs tend to really happen.

If I will repurchase any of these I will repurchase Nutty and Brulee all over again. And I will definitely go get the other colors. :)

Thanks for reading and leave a comment if there's anything you would want to know. Let me also now if you are interested to see a look using these shades.

Bye!

Review: e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder

Hey guys! So another review and as promised, I am going to be reviewing one from my recent hauls and for now, it's going to be from e.l.f. (eyes, lips, face). It's their blush and bronzer duo simply called Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder.

Just a quick "sharing", I struggle with applying bronzers and I don't have that much experience with bronzer because I find it hard to contour my face since it's really, really round. My first ever bronzer was NYC's bronzer in the shade of Sunny and I thought that it was really light for my Filipina-Morena complexion. Whenever try to play with it and apply it on my face it's not that obvious. Same thing with the Rimmel one, again it's too light and it's really hard to see if I actually contoured my face. So I am hoping that with the bronzer that came in this duo, it it will be different. So let's get started with the review.

Product description:
  • Create a healthy and natural glow year-round
  • The Blush highlights the cheeks to add a flush of color
  • The Bronzer accents and contours cheekbones for beautiful definition
Directions:
  • Brush on the "bronze" to the hollow of the cheeks for definition and dust around the face line to create a healthy glow. Use the "blush" on the apple of the cheeks to create a subtle color.
*The product description and directions are stated at the back of the box.

The packaging for me is very simple and I think it's sturdy enough considering the price. It also has a decent sized mirror which I think is very convenient. There are no bulky, extra compartment compared to their other products which I think is good since you are getting exactly what you need-the blush and bronzer. You get to have 8g of products which if you divide, it will make each pan to be containing 4g of products each.
A closer look.
If you are going to look at it really close, you can actually see some fine gold reflex from the pan. Both of them has reflex but for the bronzer, I think it goes unnoticeable specially if you are applying it on the hollows of your cheeks. But the reflex from the blush stays noticeable even if you blend it out on your cheeks.

What I like about it:
  • It's very pigmented. The bronzer is really pigmented, it's dark enough for my complexion. The blush is very subtle but it's okay. It actually does what it says on the packaging. It does highlight your cheeks.
  • Light weight.
  • The packaging is really compact and sturdy.
  • Very affordable.
What I don't like about it:
  • Very powdery. The moment my brush touches the pan, even just a light tap, powder goes all over the place.
  • Only one shade for the blush and bronzer. I actually wish that they will make different variety.
  • Other than that, nothing more to complain.
I've been reading lots of reviews that this is a dupe for the duo of NARS Orgasm and Laguna which I can't prove since I don't own that NARS duo but if you ask me, I think this is good enough and if there are a lot of people comparing it to a high-end brand then I don't think I will be buying the high-end dupe.

I hope the swatch can help.
As you can tell from the swatch, the blush is very subtle but the bronzer is really pigmented.

So, there you have it! My review on the e.l.f. Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder. I hope you had fun reading and I hope you find this very helpful.

Bye!

ELF Haul!

Hey guys! Long time no talk, right? Well, I am back and for this post I am going to share to you all my recent haul from ELF!

For those of you who didn't know what E.L.F. means, it's Eyes Lips Face (pretty clever, huh?) Well, anyway, eyeslipsface.com was doing a 50% off if you achieve a total amount of $30- I reached $30 so I was qualified for the promo and I got 50% off on my total purchase. I placed my order on August 8th and received my parcel on the 15th. It took a while but the important thing is that I already have my order. So, here's what I got! ;)

So first, I'm going to show you what was inside the bag. I'm saving the 100 palette for the finale. But it's pretty obvious naman. hehe.

I hauled mainly on tools :)

  • From the Studio line, I got the infamous Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder. First impression, I thought the pan were a little small, because I have seen this in videos and I thought that they were bigger and longer. The blush and bronzer does have gold shimmers in it and I will be playing with this more and let you know soon what I think.
  •  When I was still in the Philippines, this came out and the first time it was out in the market, it didn't came with an applicator. I bought one before, and it was in brown and it was too dry to be called a CREAM Eyeliner. I gave it to my cousin and having this one now, I would say that it has improved a lot. This one is far more creamier. I'm actually excited about this.

  • I got two Eye Primer from the essential line. In the Philippines, this is also being sold for (if I am not mistaken) P129.75. I bought these because I wanted to try them, and I want a legit primer to use when playing with my makeup.
  •  Another primer, and this time it's from their Mineral line which I think is not being sold in the Philippines (?). Anyway, I got this for personal use just in case there's a special occasion and I have to wear makeup. My Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer dried out, and I don't know what cheap good alternative I can buy, but when I saw Xteener's review on this, I thought I should give it a try.

  • I seized the moment to haul mainly on tools. These are all 50 cents each well because of the 50% off. I got 1 Eye Crease brush which is a new thing for me. 2 Eye Blending Brush and 3 Eyeshadow brush which shed like crazy the first time I felt the bristles. Mas OK pa rin yung eyeshadow brush ko na nabili ko sa Pilipinas a few years back.
Can you see the sheded hairs?

  •  My first Powder Brush is already gone. So I bought two just in case. I don't know, I feel that the handles on these are shorter and the bristles are not that dense like my first brush. But it's really hard to tell since I threw my old Powder Brush away.
  •  And now for the finale, The 100 Eyeshadow Palette.Originally, this was priced for $10 and thanks for the sale, I got this for only $5. Haha! I've seen emilynoel83's review on this and I think for $10 this one is a great palette for beginners like me. I am so excited to play with this one.
Awesome array of colors.
All in all, I got 14 items. And I am pleased with what I got. I hope you enjoyed this mini haul and please stay tuned for my reviews on these.

Thank you for reading and I hope to talk to you guys soon!

Another drugstore.com haul!

So, I really don't feel like talking so much right now. And I will just go straight to what I've got from my purchase to drugstore.com. I got mainly Wet N Wild products. :)

First, I'm going to show my Rimmel purchases.

I couldn't help not to try this one out right away!
Lastly, my Wet N Wild purchases. I purchased five single eyeshadow and my favorite so far would be the shade Nutty which is a satiny taupe.

Then I got two new shades both are sparkly. I am telling you right now, I am disappointed with the shade Sellout.

These 2 are powdery and not that pigmented. Well. I'm gonna do an in depth review for these 5 single eyeshadows.

How fun is this trio??

These eyebrow pencils are my favorute
So, that's my haul. I will be doing a review for each of them just stay tuned for that!

Upcoming Review: Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil

Hey there! Just a heads up on what I will be reviewing. So, I was browsing the hair care aisle of CVS and I found this. I decided to buy this because it's the only one left and I thought it should be really good because there's only one remaining on the stand.

I'm still testing it out and I will let you guys know soon what I think about this.

IN2IT Moisture Intense Lipstick in Pink Alarm

Hot pinks and pinks are not the lipstick shades that I am brave enough to wear. I just don't think that it compliments my skin and I think that pinks in general are too "girly" for me.

This lipstick that I am going to be blogging about is a shade that is not that too unfamiliar to me. I've been seeing this for a long time now and at first, I really thought that it was really loud and bold, definitely not a lipstick that you will use everyday. So, even though it's a pretty color, I passed on it. THEN.

But, when I saw that one of my favorite YouTube beauty guru was using this shade, I checked it out on the counters of In2it. In2it is the brand of the lipstick and I think the brand originated in Malaysia.

So, I checked this one out, swatched it on the back of my hand and I realized that it wasn't that loud and it was really a fun color to have!

The lipstick that I was talking about is In2it's Moisture Intense Lipstick in Pink Alarm.

Pink Alarm is a fun fuchsia pink with some sheen to it making it somewhat reflective. The color is a bit intimidating as what I've said. Definitely it's not ideal for this to be used everyday. The shade works well with my skin tone, but I bet it will look better on fair complexion. I've read in some article or blogposts that this is a 'dupe' for MAC Show Orchid. I am not sure about that actually because I have not seen Show Orchid yet.

What I like about this:
  • Goes on smooth on lips.
  • Not drying at all.
  • Surprisingly lasts all day.
  • The packaging looks so classy.
  • The shade is perfect for special occassions.
  • No unwanted scent or taste.
If you are going to ask me if there's anything that I don't like about this lipstick, it's probably the effort I have to make to remove it on my lips. It will stain my lips like crazy and I have to either use a lip scrub or a petroleum jelly to get rid of it. One more thing, I don't think In2it can be bought online. All I know is that they are available ONLY in Asia. I will try to search this on eBay and see if there are anyone who sells this. But nonetheless, this is a pretty nice lipstick.

Overall, I really love this lipstick. In the Philippines, you can buy this at most malls that has In2it counters. This retails for P300++, I am sorry I really can't remember.

That will be all! Again, Thank You so much for reading and I will talk to you soon!

*Off topic:

Philippines, my home country, is experiencing a major calamity right now. The entire Metro area is in deep floods. I am asking for you to pray for the Philippines. Thank you!

Etude House Dr. Oil Solution

I've had problems with my skin before. From blackheads to acne and to it being dry and oily. I know what to do with blackheads and acne, I have my favorite pore strip and acne gel with me. For dryness, I have a thick heavy cream. But with oilies, I really didn't know what to do and what to use. Until I discovered this line from Etude House.

It's their Dr. OIL Solution line and when I first heard about this, I thought it was just a gimmick to name it "...OIL Solution" because to me, it's like you are claiming to solve the oily problems of the skin. And by adding Dr. at the beginning makes it more interesting because to me it means that this stuff will "cure" the oiliness.

Since I thought that this was just a commercial gimmick, I pass on this one. And then I noticed my skin became more and more oilier to the point where my makeup wouldn't last for even 3hrs. So, I decided to give these two a try. Did they work? We'll see...

Let me start by introducing to you the Anti-Shine Mist.

This mist, like any other mist comes in a spray bottle of 30 ml which release fine spritz of mist which I really like. These two actually has a box but I left them in the Philippines. The box contains all the company description and ingredients. Sorry... ;)

So. What do I like about this:
  • It's unscented.
  • Non irritating.
  • Not sticky.
  • Didn't broke me out.
Now, I am going to show you the compact powder.

This is sooo embarrassing to show but this is reality. This is what going to happen if you are using a produce non-stop.

See how much I use this? I've already hit pan!
This powder compact comes with a tiny powder puff. The powder is just translucent and you may also call this a 'finishing powder' if you wish.

What do I like about this:
  • Just like the mist, it is unscented.
  • it has no different shade to choose. It's just plain powder.
  • No any reaction like breaking out.
  •  It's just a straight flat matte powder.
There is one thing that I really don't like about this. The puff is so tiny that it's impossible to buy a replacement. But, it's just a minor thing. Right now, I use a brush instead of the puff.

So, you want to know the verdict?

I LOVE THESE TWO! I spray the Anti-Shine mist first all over my face then apply my moisturizer, BB cream or foundation. Then I will set everything with the compact powder. They really control my oil and I am really impressed that it made my makeup last all day. With these two, I never have to worry with touch ups or my face looking like an oil mine.

So, if you are looking for oil control products, these two are what you're looking for.

Thank you for reading! And talk to you soon!

In2it waterproof eyebrow colour

I don't know if I have mentioned, but I do have thick brows. Before, shaping and trimming them was really a complicated thing for me to do. They are thick at the same time they are completely not the same. And I really don't like redefining them because I think they are thick enough and redefining them is really unnecessary for me to do. But since I started to be interested with makeup, I learned that redefining your brows is a MUST thing to do because your brows frame your face. So, I started looking for eyebrow products that I may use. I've tried pencils but they made my brows look like Bebang's ( a popular character by one of the most popular comedian of the Philippines, Michael V.) I don't know if I was just unskilled to do my brows or the product just sucked. Either way, my brows then looked really horrible.

And then my friend introduced me to this eyebrow powder which she has been using for years, I gave it a try and now, IT is my HG brow product. It is In2it's waterproof eyebrow colour in ER 01 eyebrowns.
I bought this a year ago and I just hit pan on my favorite shade! I am too excited to blog about this that I really don't know which one to tackle first.
I know it looked a little overused and obviously old.

Okay, let's start with this: I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! There I said it. If I could just stop there I would but I have to explain why.

Why I like this?:
  • Super pigmented.
  • Not chalky contrary to the other reviews I've read a long time ago.
  • Not powdery.
  • Lasts all day.
  • Blends easily.
  • This will take years to hit pan.
  • Very light weight.
  • The expiration date at the back is indicated.
  • No unwanted scent.
  • I just love this!
  • The brush that comes with this really works for me.
  • In2it actually sell a refill for this brow kit, I've seen it once in a boutique in a mall.
The only concern that I have with this is the price. It's a little pricey but hey, IT'S WORTH IT!

The brush that came with it already broke so I'm not able to show it to you anymore

It has three (3) shades of brown; Light brown for everyday use, this shade is my favorite. I use this all the time and as you can see, I've already hit pan on this part. The middle one is a True brown shade which you may use if you want to make your brows look more defined. I personally use this when I feel that I want my brows to look more defined. And the last shade, the dark brown, you may use this shade for dramatic looks and also you may use this to define the tail of your brows even more if you prefer that look.

There are some people I know who has this brow kit that use them all at once. They put the light shade at front part, the medium shade in the middle and the dark shade at the tail end of the brows. You may also do that technique if you want to, but I personally prefer using only one shade for the entire brows. Again, just personal preference.

Remember that these shades are for brows. They are not eyeshadows so please don't think they are not pigmented enough.
So, there you have it. My review on In2it's eyebrow powder. I hope you don't mind how old it looks because I've been using it everyday the moment I got it. I've even used this on my graduation day and it lasted all day.

Thank yo very much for reading and talk to you soon!
